"The three paintings in this series are meant to show the beauty that can be found in old, worn objects. In this piece, fragments of rusted metal are displayed against four pastel-colored quadrants. The two side-by-side vertical pieces in the upper right symbolize the Twin Towers.
"To further enhance the rusted metal objects, I rubbed them with various colors of iridescent mica powder."
