This striking abstract painting evokes the hottest desert sun and the most beautiful sunset using bright yellow, hot pink, purple, teal and blue. The lower right quadrant burrows into the lower left, creating a secret tunnel. And providing a cool touch is the black, white and blue object that serves as the focal point in the upper right. It has sent out a smaller version of itself, the vaguely B-shaped object below and to the left—the Outpost. Ingenious glazing of paint layers unifies the piece. An eye-catching piece for any room or hallway.
"This abstract piece uses the 'quadrant' composition. Many glazes were layered over one another to give the painting dimension and interest.
