A small whimsical piece in turquoise, caramel, red, black and white acrylic and gouache paint, and black marker. Squares and rectangles grow organically, suggesting a fantastical mechanism. Evan never uses a ruler to create these geometrically oriented pieces. "I am a human being, not a machine," he says, "and human beings can rarely draw perfectly straight lines. I like the handmade look."
